ABOUT DİSAŞ

Disaş was founded in 1976 İzmir, the first domestic manufacturer of surge arresters in Turkey. Starting with the ex-Yugoslavian technology, DİSAŞ switched to manufacture as a Siemens-licensee for gapped SiC-based arresters from 6 kV to 380 kV. Moved its production plant to Ankara in 1988 and, with a technological agreement with Hitachi-Japan, DİSAŞ added gapless Metal-oxide arresters to its production scope, as the technology developed worldwide. DİSAŞ, as the leading company of the domestic sector, is the first manufacturer of gapless metal-oxide arresters in Turkey.

Thanks to its specialization exclusively on surge arrester manufacturing, DİSAŞ offers a wide range of arrester products from indoor, low voltage applications up to heavy duty applications, i.e. in Hydroelectrical plants, Iron & Steel factories, transformer stations, etc. With its specialized technical team, DİSAŞ has the capability to find a solution for almost every customer requirement regarding surge arrester production.

In this regard, DİSAŞ maintains its reputation not only in the domestic market, but also in many Middle-Eastern, European, Asian and African end-users, which have been using its products safely for decades.

Disas has the registered capacity of manufacturing 30.000 pieces of low, medium, high and extra high voltage surge arresters both in porcelain and silicone housings, in total, per year.

Besides offering products for domestic market, Disas have been proudly exporting surge arresters covering very large product ranges, due to its advantage of flexible production ability and expertised team. For the last decade, over 5000 pieces of Disas surge arresters have been protecting end-user electrical facilities around the World.
